The World’s Best Hotels, Resorts, Countries, Cities, Islands, Spas, Trains, Airlines, Airports and Cruises Ranked by Travelers

Condé Nast Traveler today announced the results of its annual Readers’ Choice Awards with The Torridon recognised as the 23rd best hotel in UK hotels category.

More than 715,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers submitted an incredible number of responses rating their travel experiences across the globe.

The Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry. The full list of winners can be found here.

Dan Rose-Bristow, co-owner of The Torridon, said: “It’s an immense honour to be named in the Condé Nast Traveler’s 2020 Readers’ Choice Award, alongside so many of our incredible industry peers in Scotland and the UK. As our first year in the guest-voted rankings, I am unbelievably proud of our wonderful team who have worked so hard this year during such strange times, to truly showcase the finest in Scottish hospitality, and proven to our loyal guests that The Torridon really is a place like no other.”

Having recently appeared as the feature hotel in ‘Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby’, The Torridon has celebrated many successes in 2020. An exquisitely-redesigned 1887 restaurant was revealed in spring, coinciding with the appointment of new head chef, Paul Green. Co-owner Rohaise Rose-Bristow was recently named as a Master Innholder in the 2020 cohort, and the five-star Highland hotel has also made strides in its sustainability efforts this year, including becoming a partner member of the UNESCO Wester Ross Biosphere and continuing to work towards achieving carbon neutrality.

“The results of this year’s survey, conducted at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, are a testament to the lasting power of a meaningful travel experience,” said Jesse Ashlock, U.S. Editor of Condé Nast Traveler. “The winners represent the best of the best for our audience and offer plenty of trip-planning inspiration for all the adventures we can’t wait to have next.”

The 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards are published on Condé Nast Traveler’s website at www.cntraveler.com/rca and celebrated in the November issue of Condé Nast Traveler US and UK print editions.
