Custard, the hotel and venue PR agency, has announced the promotion of Maria Hamilton from Senior Account Director to the newly created role of Director of Custard.
The appointment and change in leadership structure is a result of the agency’s continued growth and stability over the past 17 years and investment into the development of its team.
Joining Custard shortly before the pandemic, Maria demonstrated exceptional resilience and leadership during one of the most challenging periods for both hospitality and PR. From navigating the agency’s transition to remote work to driving strategic growth, Maria has played an integral role in positioning Custard as a trusted name in the hotel and venue industry.
Over the past year, Maria has directed key accounts and strengthened client relationships, all while focusing on team growth and performance. Her dedication to both clients and colleagues has been instrumental in Custard’s evolution, and this promotion recognises her commitment and visionary leadership.
The appointment will enable Custard’s CEO, Petra Clayton to focus on client partnerships and growth while ensuring the agency continues to deliver exceptional results for its clients and team.
Speaking on the appointment, Petra Clayton said: “Maria has consistently gone above and beyond in her role, championing the three core values of Custard, which are visionary, intelligence and consideration, driving success for the agency as well as the team.
“This appointment marks a new chapter in our journey, as we continue to grow, innovate and support the industry together.”
In 2024 Custard celebrated additions such as Clermont Hotel Group to its portfolio, while expanding its team as well as services to incorporate branding, training and sponsorship management. In her new role, Maria will be working to further develop strategies for continued team development, as well as maximising client relationships and building on new business opportunities.
