We’ve had some incredible news! We’ve made the shortlist in this year’s Women 1st Shine Awards ‘Small Business of the Year’ category and as a team we’re absolutely delighted to have been acknowledged as a company that has made a significant contribution to the retention and development of its female talent.
Custard Communications is a young and fresh Public Relations (PR), Communications and Marketing agency specialising in delivering creative, strategic advice to venues, hotels, restaurants and caterers. We were one of the first agencies to embark on digital PR and to champion Twitter. Custard’s skills are unique, with team backgrounds combining project management, marketing and advertising with journalism, public relations and design.
When most companies have put a freeze on recruitment, we’ve remained proactive in securing and developing talent to allow the business to grow. As our fifth birthday nears, Custard is stronger than ever thanks to word of mouth recommendation, with ambitious growth plans coming to fruition and a talented all-female team in place to drive them.
From funding and supporting professional qualifications and volunteering marketing support to The Clink Charity, to positively embracing flexible working arrangements to bring talented mothers into the team, Custard is proving that hard work pays off and with the right support, women are perfectly able to pursue challenging careers to the highest levels, while maintaining that important work-life balance.
