Archy Bear invites London’s Very Important Kids for the ultimate city sleepover at The Marble Arch Hotel by Thistle

April 20, 2026 by CUSTARD

Move over grown-ups- there’s a new host in town, and he’s small, soft, and knows London like the back of his paw.

Archy Bear, the official (and very cuddly) resident of The Marble Arch Hotel by Thistle, is inviting Very Important Kids (VIKs) to check in for a city stay designed entirely around them. Think of it less as a hotel room, and more as a personal invitation from London’s tiniest tour guide.

From the moment they arrive, young guests are welcomed into Archy’s world. Their room transforms into a playful hideaway, complete with a tipi tent set up and ready for adventure, whether that’s planning the day’s sightseeing or settling in for a post-exploring wind-down.

Waiting to greet them is Archy Bear himself, a new in-room companion and the perfect sidekick for exploring the capital. Whether tagging along on trips to nearby landmarks or keeping watch during bedtime stories, Archy is on hand every step of the way.

And the best part? Every Very Important Kid gets to take their Archy Bear home, so the adventure doesn’t end at check-out. (For families with more than one VIK, extra bears are available—because no one should leave London without their own fluffy tour guide.)

When it’s time to refuel, families can head to Archy’s Bar & Lounge, named, of course, after the bear himself. Overlooking the buzz of central London, it’s a relaxed spot to swap stories from the day over crowd-pleasing favourites, from burgers and stone-baked pizzas to pasta and lighter bites, while grown-ups enjoy a well-earned cocktail.

Perfectly positioned just moments from London’s most iconic shopping and entertainment districts, The Marble Arch Hotel by Thistle offers families the best of both worlds: a central base for big-city exploring, with a stay designed to make younger guests feel like the true VIPs.

To suit every family, the Very Important Kids package is available across Deluxe, Executive, Family and Suite room categories.

“We wanted to create something that felt genuinely magical for children,” says Tony Hill, General Manager at The Marble Arch Hotel by Thistle. “By bringing Archy Bear along as part of the experience, it becomes more than just a stay; It’s about creating those moments of joy that families remember long after their trip to London.”

Archy Bear added: “I’ve been practising my tour guide skills and I’m so excited to show my new friends around London. I love waving at the big red buses and spotting all the bright lights before heading back for snuggles after a busy day. Every VIK deserves a proper adventure, and I can’t wait to meet my new friends!”

Blending playful, imaginative touches for children with a stylish and centrally located base for parents, Archy’s invitation to Very Important Kids reimagines the family hotel stay…proving that the very best adventures are, in fact, bear-shaped.
