Representatives from 35 nations will come together in London in November for the world’s leading conference on global military satellite communications. Global MilSatCom will take place at Westminster venue the QEII Centre from 5-7 November and is a key diary date for anyone within the military space domain. More than 600 international attendees including defence agencies, militaries, governments and the satellite comms industry are expected across the three days of the event, which will offer a comprehensive overview of how allied partners are working to maintain and sustain space superiority. Dale Butler from SMi Group, organisers of Global MilSatCom said: “As military data requirements continue to grow, the UK and international space sector – particularly the satellite communications (SATCOM) market has grown exponentially. This important event is a ‘must attend’ meeting for the space industry. “Global MilSatCom will explore how militaries across the alliance are developing more resilient and secure SATCOM networks, and building greater bandwidth to support future warfighter needs.” The QEII Centre has been the host venue for Global MilSatCom for two years, after the event outgrew its previous venue. Chief executive of the QEII Centre, Mark Taylor, said: “Once again QEII has been chosen as the stage for an event of global significance, and I’m delighted to welcome representatives from around the world to our venue. The line-up of speakers includes government and military leaders from Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, South Korea, United Kingdom, USA and more – a truly international line-up that we look forward to extending our London welcome to.” For more information, visit www.qeiicentre.london.
