The Torridon launches its own new gin – Arcturus

The Torridon Resort in the Scottish Highlands has partnered with Dunnet Bay Distiller, producers of Rock Rose Gin, to create its very own handcrafted gin, Arcturus. To coincide with the launch, the luxury hotel has also introduced a new Arcturus gin two-night package including an exquisite gin afternoon tea.


Named after one of the brightest stars in the night sky, according to mythology the female stag can only conceive at the rising of Arcturus.

Handcrafted in the Scottish Highlands, Arcturus has been created from the best ingredients growing around the Torridon area. To create a unique fusion of flavours, Arcturus is distilled with foraged local botanicals from the surrounding land, sea and mountains, including Scots lovage, kelp seaweed, rowanberries and foraged blaeberries.

The perfect serve

Classic G&T –  50ml Arcturus Gin and 100ml Walter Gregor Scottish Tonic served with a spiced dehydrated orange slice – the perfect autumn tipple.

The new two-night package includes accommodation in a classic double room at The Torridon Hotel, gin-tasting with an expert followed by a four-course dinner, bottle of Arcturus in the room, guided flora and fauna walk with a picnic, gin afternoon tea with blaeberry jam, gin cake and gin served in a glass teacup.
