The Meetings Industry Association’s miaList 2017 to feature new Agency Team accolade

The Meetings Industry Association (mia) has announced its much-anticipated miaList 2017 will feature a new Agency Team category.

Supported by The Meetings Show, the miaList recognises individuals who inspire those around them, go above and beyond the call of duty and play an instrumental role in making the organisation they work for successful.

The new category will recognise those agencies with teams who, by working collaboratively, have made a positive impact on their business.

Other categories, which any person working within the UK meetings, hospitality or events industry is eligible to enter, include: Conference and Events, Food and Beverage (Production), Food and Beverage (Service), Front of House, Sales, Marketing, Back of House, Leadership and the Team award.

Nominations for the awards, which are free to enter, will be assessed by an esteemed panel of six industry stalwarts representing all sectors of the event industry – buyers, agents and venues. The panel includes: Steve Knight – The Meetings Show, Rob Flinter – Park Plaza Victoria, Lacy Curtis-Ward – The Lensbury, Gill Smillie – Conference Venues Countrywide, Carol Primett – Anglian Water and Mark Gallen – MG Sales Performance.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a judging lunch, where they will meet with the panel and participate in interviews. The Agency Team will be shortlisted by the judges and then subject to a public online vote in July.

The winners will be announced at the miaList lunch on Friday, 6 October 2017 at Park Plaza Victoria, London.
