Getting to know Lucia

By Petra Clayton

It’s the people and talent that make Custard a success.  We spend time getting to know our clients but now we want you to know more about each of our team members.

Introducing Lucia

Her role:  Lucia joined us last year primarily to work on a new account with a focus on marketing communications.  Lucia spends most of her time working on one account delivering marketing and communications across their hotel portfolio. She has a very creative style and likes to get stuck into design and print projects.

Other Roles: Lucia has also been working with some of our other hotel accounts as well as a venue collection.  Most important of all she is developing her PR expertise and adding to her already great marketing knowledge to make her an all-round communications talent for the team.

Not afraid to: Lucia is never afraid to get stuck in and help on other accounts.  It doesn’t matter how busy she is she will always put her hand up to help when the team need additional support.

You can count on Lucia for: Being calm, attentive and supportive.

What’s her daily routine like?

Lucia has to battle traffic to the office and needs a big mug of tea when she gets to work. She switches on the minute she is behind her desk and ploughs through work and updates her long to-do list. She touches base with clients and then updates plans and chats through the workload for the day with account manager Megan.  She rarely gets distracted and always resists the chocolate drawer!

Why she makes an excellent Custard: Lucia is full of charm and listens quietly before coming up with ideas. Always keen to help despite her workload, you know she can step in and help when you need her to.

Who works with Lucia? Lucia works with Megan and Caroline on a daily basis and with Mika and Natalie.  She gets to work across teams to help with her development and training in PR and to help share her marketing knowledge and experience.

A few words from Lucia:

What makes you grimace? Something that often has me grimacing is incorrect use of words, the usual suspects there/their/they’re and your/you’re

What makes you smile? Good food, good wine and of course… a good cuppa tea!

Favourite story about Custard? A favourite moment of mine would have to be wrapping up for Christmas 2017 with all the team at Custard towers enjoying a (not-so) harmonious sing-song to our unique festive tunes!

What makes a great Custard? A great Custard is someone that gets stuck in, is up for a challenge and works hard to get results for our clients and the company.
