It’s the people and talent that make Custard a success. We spend time getting to know our clients but now we want you to know more about each of our team members. Introducing Beth Her role: Beth has already made great progress since joining the team in October. As someone who hadn’t worked in an agency but who had bags of events and creative experience Beth started as a senior account executive and quickly progressed to junior account manager. Her role has therefore evolved over a short period to focus more on account management and client relationships as well as strategizing for our clients and managing the delivery of some very exciting campaigns. Other Roles: Beth works across a number of accounts mainly focusing on B2B PR and marketing execution. In addition, she is also part of our Custard marketing committee for our presence at the Independent Hotel Show this year. Beth has also started working on new business campaigns and development of client prospects. Not afraid to: Beth is never afraid to throw her arms in the air for a big challenge. Especially when it comes to new business and meaty B2B contracts. She throws bags of creativity and research into every campaign. You can count on Beth for: Being vocal. Her ideas never stop and her mad half hours in the office ring through the building. Full of energy and positivity clients who work with Beth feel well looked after and prioritized. What’s her daily routine like? Beth is an early riser and is normally on her third strong coffee by the time most of us are in. Normally quiet as she cracks on with the to do list and calls and emails to clients, Beth works fast during the day. The creativity is spilling out by noon and then lots of design, planning, campaign building and meetings fill the afternoon. Why she makes an excellent Custard: You couldn’t ask for more from a Custard. Bloody fabulous attitude to helping the business grow, gutsy determination to exceed expectation and a sense of humour that keeps us all sane. Who works with Beth? Beth works alongside most of the Custards and directly with the Accounts Directors and MD. She always offers ideas and opinions on other accounts and keeps an ear open for cries for help. A FEW WORDS FROM BETH What makes you grimace? Half-hearted anything. I can’t stand a lacklustre approach! One of my favourite words is ‘Meraki’ the Greek translation to describe what happens when you leave a piece of yourself (your soul, creativity, or love) in your work. What makes you smile? A passionate, animated, vivacious, loud, tumultuous Custard creative session. Often, it’s all hands on deck to thrash out an idea, campaign or project methodology and the team spirit is palpable. Everyone has a voice; I love that. Favourite story about Custard? My favourite Custard stories can’t be repeated. It’s fair to say we laugh, a lot. Although, as a qualified personal trainer, I was lovingly harangued into running a Custard bootcamp. Meticulously watching the weather forecast all day meant nothing when the heavens opened, and the thunder and lightning started – it didn’t stop us! What makes a great Custard? A great Custard is as interested as interesting. A wholehearted team player. Not afraid to fail, these are brave and talented people who venture with strong resolve and persistence, committed to getting the job done to an impeccable standard.
