Eclipse reflects on solid trading year as new year begins

Event production company Eclipse is starting 2018 in a strong position after seeing revenue grow 4% and profits double in 2017.

Eclipse managing director Robin Purslow said the company, which enters its 30th year of trading in 2018, has built the right foundations to move into the new year by recruiting strong talent and restructuring its client offering to put the emphasis on customer service and value-added services.
Key wins for Eclipse in 2017 include being named a preferred supplier at Tobacco Docks and the Natural History Museum and maintaining onsite preferred event production supplier contracts for Wembley Stadium and London Marriott Grosvenor Square.
Robin Purslow, who has been sole shareholder of Eclipse since 2016, said he had set a new vision for the business to position it as the premier production company for clients seeking creative thinking with rock solid deliverables.

Robin Purslow said: “The industry is morphing due to both macro and micro economics simultaneously and suppliers have to be fast to adapt to client needs and time frames. This is where Eclipse as a private company are able to flex initiative and agility through fast reactions to market demands and time frames that are ever decreasing.
“In its 30th year of trading Eclipse has embraced the change from a rental company to a turnkey production house and this has led to some great wins with corporate clients and venues alike.”

Eclipse also starts 2018 with an enhanced sales team to help grow the business further. Rob Mansfield returns to the business to join the sales and marketing team while Scott Jones has moved across from the venue partnership division.
