Easter Sunday dining in the heart of Hampshire

By Natalie Blachford

Why slave over a hot stove to serve Easter Sunday lunch, when Tylney Hall Hotel & Gardens has a delectable three-course menu that can take away all the stress?

Located near Hook in the heart of the Hampshire countryside, Tylney Hall offers an elegant Victorian mansion house setting to celebrate Easter, along with 66 acres of gardens to explore after lunch.

Executive head chef Michael Lloyd has created a prix fixe menu for Easter Sunday with dishes including smoked and flaked salmon tartar, crème fraiche, caviar and pickled cucumber; 28 day-aged rack of pork, honey mustard glaze and Braeburn apple sauce; and mirror-glazed chocolate delice with praline ice cream.

The country house hotel will also be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt all afternoon, so families can enjoy the fresh air of the glorious gardens and take in the longest vista in Hampshire, while tracking down Easter eggs to take home with them.

Easter Sunday Luncheon costs £39.50pp including three courses and petit fours, and is half price for under-12s. Overnight stays available from £97.50pp B&B (two sharing).
